License: Must possess an active nursing license as per state's requirements.

Description: The position involves working on a telemetry unit handling a daily census of approximately 16 patients. Patient ratios are typically 1:4 to 1:6 depending on census. Every other weekend coverage is required. Floating to different locations within the service line is expected. The role requires proficiency in cardiac telemetry and the management of various patient care situations including stroke care and post-cardiac procedures. Skills such as BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, IV and central line care, and the interpretation of dysrhythmias are essential. Knowledge of isolation precautions and oxygen administration is necessary. The nurse will also be required to manage cardiac drips, tracheostomy care, and wound care. Travelers will receive necessary support from interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Daily responsibilities include monitoring patient vitals, administering medications, and coordinating patient care effectively. Compliance with unit protocols and standards is mandatory.
