Job Details Location: Lynn, MA. Salary Range: $16.50 – $17.00 per hour. Position Type: Full‑time. Shift: 2nd. Schedule: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM. Job Summary The Level I Operator assists the Packaging Lead/Supervisor in meeting daily production requirements for finished goods. The role maintains continuous product flow while ensuring compliance with OSHA safety guidelines, customer specifications, GMP, and USDA/FDA‑HACCP standards. Duties and Responsibilities Adhere to Food Safety, Sanitation, GMPs and USDA requirements. Follow HACCP procedures. Read and follow safety procedures, OPLs, SOPs, work instructions, and labels. Hand‑form finished good cases, retail bases, lids. Hand‑pack, cup, lid, sleeve apply, and tape semi‑finished goods. Apply labels manually. Manually palletize finished good cases. Operate pallet jack safely. Execute safety, quality, operation, centerline and change‑over tasks on retail label application equipment (including code dating). Execute similar tasks on Delkor case packaging equipment. Execute tasks on two other groups of retail packaging equipment. Operate liders, case erectors/closers, hartness as required. Perform all required packaging quality checks and HACCP paperwork. Complete other manual duties such as spiral loader, spiral exit, lowerator, etc. Sanitize all equipment in the packaging area. Required Skills Work in a high‑stress, fast‑paced environment with multiple changeovers. Strong organizational skills. Effective communication in English (speaking, writing, reading). Strong inter‑departmental communication. Team‑work ability. Basic math skills. Color discrimination. Interpret thermometer readings. Time management skills. Awareness of GMP and safety. Adherence to company’s standards of conduct. Spanish language communication preferred. Compensation and Benefits The Packaging OP1 base pay range is $16.50 per hour plus shift differential. The salary range is reviewed regularly and is based on qualifications and experience. The position is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package and up to a 5% annual discretionary bonus program.
