Position Summary Procedural Technicians function in both non-sterile and sterile capacities by creating an optimal environment for the procedural patient. They possess expertise in the theory and application of sterile and aseptic technique and combine knowledge of human anatomy, procedures, and implementation tools to facilitate invasive, therapeutic, and diagnostic procedures. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, aseptic technique, sterile technique, scrubbing, decontamination, and sterilization. Responsibilities Maintain competency in aseptic and sterile technique, and universal precautions. Acquire and maintain knowledge of instruments, including identification, proper use, and appropriate decontamination/sterilization. Practice under the direct supervision of the procedural team within the scope of practice of a Procedural Technician. Demonstrate age‑specific knowledge and skills to meet patients’ physical, psychological, and social needs for the populations served. Consult and collaborate with colleagues to improve the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of patient care. Commit to lifelong learning through self‑identification of learning needs, participation in ongoing educational activities, and maintaining records that demonstrate competency and competency development. Credentials Surgical Technologist (Required) Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required) Education or Equivalent Experience H.S.
