Acquisition Consultant

Hybrid | USCG Headquarters, Washington, D.C. | Public Trust required About this role: TechPride is excited to welcome a mid-level consultant who possesses equally developed skills and proven success in acquisition program related business operations, requirements management, vendor management, and stakeholder engagement to work within Contracting and Procurement at the United States Coast Guard (USCG). In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting impactful consulting work within the USCG — helping teams drive change, strengthen collaboration, and deliver meaningful results. This role supports USCG Acquisition Programs and clients, including Managing Directors, Technical Directors, and Associate Directors. This role also delivers Acquisition Program analysis to include requirements management, vendor capability analysis, and stakeholder engagement planning and execution. What you will get to do: Capture and track requirements for organization – identify gaps in organizational capabilities and determine innovative technologies to fill identified capability gaps. Conduct research and analysis of technology vendors (industry and academia). Generate vendor data call recommendations and solicit, collect, and aggregate data. Build and maintain a trusting relationship with the client. Understand the client’s priorities and provide creative ideas and strategic thought to support their mission. Provide subject‑matter expert guidance to support the government in developing and implementing procurement and contracting policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and alignment with federal socioeconomic goals. Provide advisory support and recommendations on procurement strategies and requirements, collaborating with mission partners to help them identify and fulfill their acquisition needs. What we are looking for: Required 5+ years of relevant experience, with experience supporting the government sector. Bachelor's degree in business or a related field. Experience dealing with Acquisition organizations and vendor engagement. Ability to conduct requirements gathering, and organizational capability analysis. Ability to shape business development opportunities and to guide potential clients towards corporate objectives. Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to coordinate, deconflict, and align diverse perspectives across cross functional teams and senior leadership. Experience and comfort communicating in emails, by phone, in writing and in person with senior executive leadership within the federal government. Technical writing/editorial experience. Fluency with project management tools and methodologies. Ability to obtain Public Trust Preferred Qualifications Active Public Trust Clearance. Experience supporting DHS, USCG, DoD, or other Federal Government clients. PMP, CAPM, Scrum, or other project management certification. Location Hybrid. Required to be on site at USCG Headquarters (located in SE D.C.) from approximately 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for three (3) days each week. Shuttle buses to and from Anacostia and L’Enfant Plaza Metro Stations to USCG Headquarters are available. TechPride also offers a monthly public transportation reimbursement benefit. No relocation assistance is available. This role is expected to begin in a hybrid work arrangement, with the potential opportunity to transition to a fully remote position based on business needs and performance.
