This role is responsible for setting and implementing fundraising strategies and strengthening the systems and processes that support sustainable growth. Partner cross-functionally with Executive Team members and VPs to align fundraising strategy with program growth, policy priorities, and financial planning. Lead strategy for cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding a diverse portfolio of foundations, banks, government agencies, and corporate partners. Develop high-level funding concepts, value propositions, and pitch strategies that advance LIIF’s national and regional initiatives. Other Responsibilities Perform other duties as assigned in support of LIIF’s mission and strategic objectives. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred. 10–15 years of progressive experience in nonprofit development, institutional fundraising, or related fields, with demonstrated leadership responsibility. Proven success designing and executing fundraising strategies for multi-million-dollar budgets. Deep expertise in institutional fundraising, including foundations, financial institutions, corporate partners, and government funding. Strong experience managing teams, systems, and complex cross-functional projects. Demonstrated ability to use data and systems (e.g. Salesforce) to drive strategy and accountability. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex work into compelling funder narratives.
