The Chief of Pathology and Laboratory Services acts as both the administrative and clinical leader for the Pathology and Laboratory Service, overseeing the entire operation of this service line within our organization.
In this role, the Chief of Pathology and Laboratory Services will provide specialized care in pathology, work closely with referring healthcare providers, enhance the efficiency of services, and maintain high standards of quality.
Compensation and BenefitsSalary: A competitive salary structure, along with an annual performance bonus and regular salary increments.
Paid Time Off: Enjoy 50-55 days of paid leave annually, which includes 26 days of vacation, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid federal holidays, and potentially an additional 5 days for continuing medical education (CME).
Retirement Plans: Access to a traditional federal pension plan (with a 5-year vesting period) and a federal 401K plan, which includes contributions of up to 5% from the organization.
Insurance Coverage: Comprehensive federal health, vision, dental, term life, and long-term care insurance options, many of which can be continued into retirement.
Licensure Requirements: Candidates must possess one full and unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state or territory.
Continuing Medical Education: Eligible for reimbursement of up to $1,000 per year for CME, provided the candidate is full-time and board-certified.
Malpractice Insurance: Enjoy free liability coverage, including tail coverage.
Contractual Terms: There is no formal Physician Employment Contract, and there are minimal restrictions on outside employment opportunities.
