Travel Physical Therapist Job

Overview Physical Therapist – Virginia Beach, VA. This travel assignment begins 06/22/2026 for 13 weeks. Expect a weekly pay range of $2,489–$2,616, with guaranteed 40 hours per week and 8-hour shifts. The role is in an acute care/rehabilitation setting, performing PT services for patients across age groups as part of an interdisciplinary team. Develop, document, review, and revise the Plan of Care (POC), progress notes, and related clinical documentation; coordinate plans with the physician and care team. Plan and deliver treatment for neuromuscular, neurological, and orthopedic conditions based on medical referrals and assessments. Instruct patients and families on transfer techniques and safe use of equipment (e.g., walkers, wheelchairs, canes, braces, prosthetic devices); select and adapt rehabilitative equipment as needed. Provide patient/family education tailored to age, condition, culture, and learning readiness; promote home exercise programs and exercise safety. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team; supervise and guide other staff as appropriate within scope of practice. Apply infection control principles and universal precautions in all patient care activities. Accept clinical assignments consistent with education and competence to care for patients; participate in ongoing professional development. Requirements Active Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia. Current CPR certification (required). Current driver’s license with reliable transportation and insurance. 1–2 years of PT experience in an acute care or rehabilitation setting (required); prior home care experience preferred. Education: Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from an American Physical Therapy Association–approved program (required).
