Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Interventional Radiology Technologist \n Discipline: Allied Health Professional \n Duration: 13 weeks \n 40 hours per week \n Shift: 10 hours, days \n Employment Type: Travel \n \n \n 37567183 Travel Angio / Interventional Radiology Technologist \n Golden, Colorado | 13-Week Contract | Day Shift | Full-Time \n Start Date: ASAP Assignment Length: 13 weeks Schedule: 3–4 × 10-hour day shifts/week call Hours: 40 hours/week Shift: Day 10s Location: Golden, Colorado Openings: 1 \n Why You’ll Love This Assignment \n Take your Interventional Radiology expertise to a high-acuity procedural environment where you’ll work alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team and gain exposure to a broad range of vascular, interventional, CT-guided, and Neuro-IR procedures. \n This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Angio/Interventional Technologist looking for a challenging travel assignment with a strong procedural focus, consistent day shifts, and structured call responsibilities. \n Position Overview \n The Angio/Interventionalist will support a wide range of diagnostic and interventional procedures, including angiography, vascular interventions, embolizations, drain placements, biopsies, ablations, and Neuro-IR procedures. \n You may function as a scrub technologist, circulating technologist, or monitoring technologist , depending on procedural needs and department protocols. \n Key Responsibilities \n \n Perform and assist with angiography and interventional radiology procedures \n Scrub, circulate, monitor, and provide procedural support according to department standards \n Operate IR imaging equipment and related information systems to produce high-quality diagnostic images \n Prepare patients for procedures, verify patient identity/orders, and ensure appropriate documentation and consent \n Maintain strict sterile technique and infection-control practices \n Follow radiation safety standards and wear the required personal radiation monitoring badge \n Assist with selection, preparation, and deployment of invasive and interventional supplies \n Provide patient education, comfort, and reassurance throughout procedures \n Recognize emergent patient situations and respond appropriately \n Maintain accurate records of procedures, patient information, adverse reactions, and incidents \n Communicate pertinent patient and procedural information to the care team \n Maintain procedural areas and ensure necessary supplies are stocked \n Transport patients as needed \n Assist with sheath removal/management and achieving hemostasis \n Participate in quality control and report equipment issues or failures appropriately \n \n Procedure Experience \n Experience with a variety of interventional procedures is highly valued, including: \n \n Angiography \n Vascular procedures \n SIRT mapping and treatments \n Embolizations \n Nephrostomy tube placements \n Biliary tube placements \n CT-guided drains \n CT-guided biopsies \n CT-guided ablations \n Neuro-IR stroke procedures \n Diagnostic Neuro-IR procedures \n \n Required Qualifications \n \n 1–2 years of vascular or interventional experience \n Demonstrated experience performing angiography procedures \n Experience with vascular/interventional procedures \n Strong knowledge of anatomy, positioning, and anatomical terminology \n Proficiency operating radiographic and interventional imaging equipment \n Knowledge of patient identification and safety protocols \n Strong understanding of sterile technique and infection control \n Ability to recognize and respond to emergency patient situations \n Ability to provide appropriate patient care and education \n Strong communication and teamwork skills \n Ability to work independently in a fast-paced procedural environment \n Ability to maintain accurate documentation \n \n Required Certifications \n \n ARRT(R) – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists \n BLS – AHA \n \n Preferred: \n \n Vascular/Interventional Radiography certification \n Applicable state licensure and/or additional relevant certifications \n Prior Neuro-IR or advanced interventional experience \n \n ☢️ Radiation Safety Requirement \n A personal radiation monitoring badge/dosimeter is required for this assignment.
