Job Title

Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 3 shifts per week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to laboring patients, inductions, cesarean sections, antepartum patients with complications, fetal demises, and triage patients at 20 weeks gestation or greater
• Titrate drips including Pitocin, insulin, and magnesium per facility protocols
• Monitor and interpret electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) strips using Fetal Link with Cerner; telemetry monitoring utilized for patients on magnesium
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including OB/Neonatologist (in-house 24/7), a typically free charge nurse, and an OB Tech
• Adhere to AWHONN staffing ratio guidelines within a 14-bed L&D unit with 2 OR suites
• Fulfill on-call, weekend, and holiday rotation requirements as scheduled

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of California
• Minimum 2 years of current Labor & Delivery experience
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with high-acuity OB patients including antepartum complications and fetal demise care
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR and Fetal Link EFM systems
• Experience managing titratable drips in an obstetric setting
