Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position in Sioux City, IA, requiring Epic EMR proficiency and a valid IA or compact RN license.

Details

• Hospital-based Operating Room (OR) setting in Sioux City, IA
• Patient population includes outpatient surgeries and infusion patients
• Infusion therapies include blood, platelets, IVIG, IV fluids, and antibiotics (no chemotherapy)
• Patient ratio of 3:1
• Some medication titrations required
• Shift hours are 6:15 AM start, available as 5x8 or 4x10 schedule
• On-call requirement of one weekend per month (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) plus approximately 4 weekday calls per month; holiday call coverage may be required
• Every 4th weekend required
• EMR: Epic (experience required)
• Floating within the same discipline across local campuses may be required

Requirements

• Active IA RN license or compact RN license required
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Mandatory reporter certification required
• CNOR certification preferred
• Driver's license required for consideration
• One supervisory reference from within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidate must have a taxable address more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Holiday coverage requires working 2 of 3 winter holidays: Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving
• Candidates who have been employed by the facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible for this position
