Under the direction of Plant Manager, the Shipping Coordinator is responsible for efficiently managing the dispatching process and maintaining seamless communication with Truck Drivers, encompassing South Holland's drivers and third-party common carriers. Your efforts are essential in ensuring we meet our customers' precise pickup and delivery requirements, contributing to our overall customer satisfaction and service excellence.

• Communication and Dispatching
• Telephone Management
• Pickup Management
• Driver Dispatching
• Shipping Management
• Shipping Oversight: understanding of shipping processes will ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Documentation Preparation: Packing Slips, Bills of Lading (B/L), and tags.
• Tracking Shipments: Utilize tracking systems to monitor the status of shipments proactively.
• Claims Management
• Order Management
• New Orders Processing
• Customer and Material Number Creation
• Purchase Order Tracking
• Administrative Tasks
• File Management: Set up and maintain new files for invoices
• Manage the procurement and inventory of office supplies
• Credit and Tax Management: As needed, assist in conducting credit checks
• Customer Service Commitment
• Technology Proficiency in using ERP systems such as SAP or equivalent is strongly preferred

• High school diploma is required. An associate degree in business or a related discipline is preferred to provide foundational knowledge for this role.
• Professional Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing office environment, focusing on shipping logistics and standard office practices.
