As an Educator, you'll work directly with kids — leading activities, facilitating a safe and structured environment, and building relationships — while gaining valuable experience in education and child development. Location: Peninsula School District - Gig Harbor, WA Educator Pay Rate: $18-20/hr (based on education and experience) Schedule: Both shifts required for the Educator role - if you're looking for more flexibility, we have subsitute positions available Schedule Before School Shift: Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri 5:45am- 9am and Wed 5:45am-10am After School: Mon- Fri 3:15pm-6pm What You'll Do Greet and check in students at the start of each session; take attendance and maintain accurate records Plan and lead daily activities, games, and enrichment lessons appropriate for the age group you're working with Facilitate homework time and support with academic tasks as needed Supervise students during free play, snack time, and transitions, ensuring a safe and structured environment Address minor conflicts or behavior issues using positive guidance techniques Communicate with parents/guardians at pick-up and drop-off regarding their child's day Report incidents, injuries, or safety concerns to your Program Manager or site lead promptly; log incident reports Set up and clean up program space and materials each day Attend brief daily team meetings to coordinate with other staff What You'll Gain Teachers & paraprofessionals: Pick up extra hours and income right at your own school.
