Where do YOU fit in?

The Business Development Manager is a solutions-driven sales role for water management services including stormwater, wastewater and water quality testing. This individual will focus on new logo acquisitions with a focus and emphasis on growth in their assigned territory, in addition to outreach with local regulators and engineers for continued partnerships. Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a commission program.

Responsibilities:

\n
• This position is an, on the road position, for Edmonds, WA and surrounding areas territory
\n
• Prospect for new business and customers in the retail, industrial, commercial, and municipality sectors.
\n
• Manage lead development for assigned geographic region.
\n
• Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales quotas as defined by management.
\n
• Promote brand and services and build effective proposals based on customer needs, consumer insights and customer decision criteria.
\n
• Coordinate with Project Managers for initiation of contracts and ongoing administration to ensure customers’ needs are met.
\n
• Develop proposals and presentations for key accounts.
\n
• Represent the company at trade shows, general sales meetings and general industry functions as needed.
\n
• Maintain sales and customer activity in Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
\n
• Manage operating expenses within assigned budget.
\n
• Report on industry and marketplace trends.
\n
• Company paid, regional travel is required.
\n

Requirements:

\n
• Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience equivalent.
\n
• 5+ years of progressive and successful sales experience with key retailers.
\n
• Outside sales experience in facilities management, construction or environmental services strongly preferred.
\n
• Proven negotiation and closing skills.
\n
• Self-motivated, energetic team player with a positive attitude.
\n
• Proven ability of budget/quota delivery.
\n
• Strong track record of building relationships with merchant teams.
\n
• Ability to think strategically and develop long-term plans for channels.
\n
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
\n
