Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (MS RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (MS RN) for an Ambulatory Inpatient Unit. This role requires experience in managing patients in a fast-paced environment, including those requiring a multi-level of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a Medical Surgical setting.
• Administer medications and monitor patient status on medication drips.
• Care for pediatric patients as needed.
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Utilize the CPSI charting system for accurate patient documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of recent experience in Medical Surgical nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred.
• A valid nursing license in the state of practice is required.
• Experience in stepdown or cardiac units is highly recommended.

Unit Details

The unit features:

• 19 beds with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6.
• Care for multi-level of care patients including swing beds.
• Requirement for mask usage if flu vaccine is declined.

Additional Information

Former staff must have been away from the organization for at least six months prior to being considered for this travel assignment. COVID vaccination is not required.
