Food Runner Job Title: Food Runner Reports To: General Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Summary: The food runner primary responsibility is to accurately deliver the food to the guests. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The primary duty is to deliver food to the restaurant guests. Must be timely and efficient to maintain the food's temperature. Knowledge of each dish and what it should look like. Provides final quality assurance check of products before delivering to guests. Removes any product that does not meet standards. Performs all side duties as assigned. Competency Skills – Food Runner must be able to quickly and accurately deliver food to guests. Guest Service - Responds promptly to guest needs. Interpersonal – Provides a friendly and hospitable service to guests. Oral Communication - Speaks clearly and listens to guests; responds well to questions; communicates all inquiries to server. Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time; ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent. Dependability - Follows instructions, responds to management direction; takes responsibility for own actions; keeps commitments. Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.
