The DBA will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, security, and optimization of Teradata environments supporting critical healthcare data workloads.Key Responsibilities• Manage and administer Teradata database environments across development, test, and production• Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching• Execute backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures• Monitor and optimize database performance and query efficiency• Implement database security, access controls, and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA)• Provide L2/L3 production support and incident resolution• Collaborate with data engineers, ETL developers, and business teams• Support data integration, migration, and modernization initiativesRequired Qualifications• 3–6 years of experience as a Database Administrator with strong Teradata experience• Hands-on experience with enterprise data warehouse environments• Strong SQL and query performance tuning skills• Experience with Teradata utilities (BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPT)• Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments• Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsPreferred Qualifications• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)• Exposure to data modernization programs• Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica or DataStage• Healthcare industry experienceKey Success Metrics• High system availability and SLA adherence• Improved database performance and efficiency• Reduced incident resolution times• Successful support of Project Sunshine deliverablesAbout NTT DATANTT DATA is a $30 billion business and technology services leader, serving 75% of the Fortune Global 100.
