Sr. Engineering Manager, Key Value (KV) at Cockroach Labs

About the Role Lead a ~10-engineer team owning the Key Value (KV) layer of CockroachDB, responsible for replication, distributed transactions, and data placement across the database stack. Key Responsibilities Manage and grow the KV engineering team, hiring and coaching engineers. Drive and prioritize a complex multi-quarter technical roadmap across replication, transactions, distribution, and resource management. Coordinate cross-functional interfaces with storage, SQL, backup/restore, and CDC teams. Run multiple large parallel projects and represent the team externally at conferences and talks. Requirements 5+ years managing software engineering teams with proven delivery from prototype to production. Strong technical judgment in distributed systems, replication, and transactions. Experience running complex, multi-project roadmaps and collaborating with product and engineering leadership. Ability to hire, coach, and run performance/growth processes for senior engineers. #J-18808-Ljbffr Rocketlist
