Estimator - Commercial Construction

Raleigh / Durham, North Carolina

A leading commercial General Contractor is seeking an Estimator to join its preconstruction team in the Raleigh-Durham market.


This is an opportunity to work with a builder that has a strong reputation, a healthy backlog, and a leadership team that values preconstruction as a critical driver of project success. The company continues to expand throughout the region and is looking for an Estimator who wants to play a visible role in helping secure and shape future projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual, schematic, design-development, and hard bid estimates
• Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing analysis
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals
• Develop scopes of work and bid packages
• Participate in value engineering and budgeting exercises
• Collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, and project teams
• Assist with proposal preparation and project pursuits
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and project requirements

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial construction estimating experience
• Experience estimating ground-up commercial projects
• Strong understanding of construction means and methods
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
• Strong communication and analytical skills
