Job Summary:

The BACKFILL - TRAVEL - CST - OR/SURGERY (701) position is a Surgical Technologist role supporting OR/Surgery teams with efficient, safe, and sterile surgical preparation. This travel assignment requires strong instrumentation skills, adherence to sterile technique, and reliable support during operative procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms by setting up sterile fields, instruments, equipment, and supplies prior to cases.
• Assist surgeons and perioperative staff by handing instruments and managing sterile workflow during procedures.
• Maintain strict sterile technique throughout the surgical process to support patient safety.
• Perform instrument preparation and processing support, including cleaning and organizing per protocol.
• Verify correct supplies, instruments, and case readiness using established checklists and documentation.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment and supply issues in coordination with the OR team to avoid delays.

Qualifications:

• Hold current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential.
• Demonstrate 2+ years of OR/Surgery experience in a Surgical Technologist capacity.
• Possess strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation and sterile processing workflows.
• Maintain proficiency in aseptic technique, surgical counts, and OR safety standards.
• Communicate clearly with surgeons, anesthesia, and nursing staff in a fast-paced environment.
• Complete required travel readiness and maintain compliance with credentialing requirements.
