Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) in our Acute Care unit provides comprehensive, high-quality nursing care to patients in a fast-paced hospital environment. The role involves assessing patient needs, implementing care plans, and ensuring optimal outcomes through clinical excellence and teamwork.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Deliver safe, effective nursing care in compliance with professional standards and state regulations.
  
  
• 
  Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications, fluids, and respiratory treatments as prescribed, monitoring patient responses.
  
  
• 
  Recognize signs of patient condition changes, respond promptly, and communicate essential updates to the healthcare team.
  
  
• 
  Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, interventions, and outcomes.
  
  
• 
  Provide patient and family education on treatments, medications, and post-discharge care.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Possess a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Dakota or eligibility for reciprocity.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and effective communication skills.
  
  
• 
  Show commitment to patient-centered care and professional growth.
  
  
• 
  Prior acute care or hospital nursing experience preferred but not mandatory.
