Medical Dosimetrist

Position Purpose:

The Medical Dosimetrist is responsible for performing the technical aspects of Radiation Therapy Treatment Planning and communicating these aspects to the Radiation Oncologist and Radiation Therapist.

· Maintains accurate treatment records.

· Performs a variety of technical and non-technical tasks and direct patient care activities requiring independent judgement and initiative.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an approved Radiation Oncology program or graduate of a Medical Dosimetry program required.

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) required; and

• Valid State of Ohio Radiological License required.

• Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) required. Certified by MDCB (Medical Dosimetry Certification Boards).

• Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) required. Certified by MDCB (Medical Dosimetry Certification Boards).

• Experience: Minimum of (3) year's dosimetry experience with eligibility for dosimetry boards required. Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) preferred.

• Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) and State of Ohio Radiological License preferred.
