Maintenance Supervisor (1st shift)

Responsibilities Manage the 1st‑shift maintenance team with minimal supervision, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying manufacturing and facility equipment to achieve production and quality goals. Provide leadership, drive continuous improvement, and coordinate with operations and other departments to meet daily targets. Keep plant and equipment operating at planned production capacity while minimizing maintenance cost. Manage and track KPIs such as OEE, MTTR, MTBF, PM/PdM compliance, and schedule compliance. Support TPM and Reliability Excellence initiatives. Maintain Clarios quality standards for product and workmanship. Ensure safe execution of maintenance activities. Oversee work and materials management processes. Monitor work progress and adjust schedule as needed. Ensure job clean‑up, data entry, documentation, and work order creation. Build team cohesion, motivate members, and engage in continuous improvement. Comply with environmental, health and safety policies and procedures. Provide mechanic scheduling, timecard review, and issue resolution. Conduct performance reviews and discipline direct reports as required. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required; Engineering, Business, or Operations preferred. 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting. 1+ year as a maintenance supervisor in a manufacturing setting. 3+ years experience with mechanical process equipment, PLC, electrical components, pneumatics, and hydraulics. Experience reading drawings and schematics. Creativity and problem‑solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage time and meet all specified deadlines. Strong leadership and organizational skills; ability to motivate team members. Experience with Maximo CMMS and Kronos timekeeping is a plus.
