Based on these charts, you’ll use a set of established medical codes tin or to transcribe patient history into a type of “shorthand” that will be used by both health care providers and insurance companies.Job Responsibilities:* Comply with legal requirements regarding coding procedures and practices* Reading and analyzing patient records* Determining the correct codes for patient records* Using codes to bill insurance providers* Interacting with physicians and assistants to ensure accuracy* Keeping track of patient data over multiple visits* Managing detailed, specifically-coded information* Maintaining patient confidentiality and information security* Conduct audits and coding reviews to ensure all documentation is accurate and precise* Collaborate with billing department to ensure all bills are satisfied in a timely manner* Communicate with insurance companies about coding errors and disputes* Contact physicians and other health care professionals with questions about treatments or diagnostic tests given to patients with regard to coding procedure## Qualifications* Certified Medical Coder* Excellent typing skills* Commitment to high level of customer service #J-18808-Ljbffr
