Information Specialist

South Dakota State University (SDState) is currently seeking an Information Specialist to join our Animal Science department. This position will play a critical role in the department’s three primary missions which are learning, discovery, and engagement. Job Responsibilities: This position will be responsible for preparing, coordinating, and developing Animal Science Department informational communications following university and department guidelines, meeting required deadlines as well as providing vital administrative services for faculty, staff, and students. medical, dental, and flexible benefits, retirement plans, compensation packages, paid holidays, and vacation leave. generous retirement plan that includes 6% matching, 10 hours of annual leave each month, 9.34 hours of sick leave each month, and eleven paid holidays. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of: Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, and Outlook Knowledge of Microsoft Office: Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint Computer processes related to website content and social media presence. Modern office equipment Grammar, punctuation, and spelling Skill & Ability to: Write, proofread, and edit written materials. Manage time and meet deadlines while balancing multiple projects at once. Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
