Privately Owned MD/OD Practice in Need of Medically Focused Optometrist(s) in Louisiana.

Job Type: Full-time optometrist (OD); clinic only.

Practice Location(s): New Iberia, Louisiana. ODs rotate to another clinic at least once a week.

MD Or Corporate Owned: MD

Reason for Job Opening: Added role

Experience Requirement: New graduates welcome.

Target Compensation: Completive starting annual salary; negotiable.

Practice Management: In House

Current patient volume: 110,000 patient encounters per year, practice-wide.

Estimated Surg Volume for this role: Clinic only.

Support Staff: 150+ employees and 2 PA-Cs, practice-wide.

Hospital Call: No

MDs on Staff: 6 ophthalmologists

ODs on Staff: 14 optometrists

Partners: 4 ophthalmologists

OD – patient per day expectation: Start at 15–20 per day and increase gradually. Up to 45 scheduled to account for a 15% no-show rate.
