Work Environment\nThis role offers a flexible remote work setting, allowing you to interact with clients and team members through various digital platforms. While most interactions will occur online, the nature of school-based work may require periodic attendance at school events or meetings to integrate support systems effectively.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Perform comprehensive assessments of students' psychosocial needs considering various factors such as emotional health, family dynamics, and social engagement. \n
- Collaborate with students, their families, and educators to develop and implement personalized support plans that aim for academic and emotional success. \n
- Provide counseling and emotional support services to help students navigate interpersonal challenges, academic pressure, and family issues. \n
- Advocate for students’ rights and accessibility to school resources, social services, and community programs. \n
- Engage with interdisciplinary teams of teachers, school nurses, and administrators to create a holistic approach to student care. \n
- Conduct regular virtual check-ins to monitor student well-being, participation in school programs, and any relevant concerns arising during their educational journey. \n
- Facilitate workshops and informational sessions for families, educating them about available local resources, such as mental health services and community programs. \n
- Maintain meticulous documentation of client interactions, assessments, and progress reports complying with confidentiality regulations and ethical standards. \n
- Stay current with best practices in social work, school mental health initiatives, and relevant legal frameworks to ensure effective service delivery. \n
The primary focus of this position is the younger population within the school system. You will work directly with students experiencing a range of challenges, including but not limited to emotional distress, academic difficulties, family disruptions, and development-related issues. The role demands a compassionate understanding of the unique pressures faced by students today and an ability to build trusting relationships to facilitate positive outcomes.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution. \n
- Current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). \n
- At least two years of previous experience in a social work role, ideally within a school or educational setting. \n
- Strong knowledge of social work principles, child and adolescent development, and community resources available for students and families. \n
- Exceptional assessment, counseling, and communication skills to effectively engage with both clients and interdisciplinary team members. \n
- Ability to demonstrate empathy and understanding, forming connections with students and families from diverse backgrounds. \n
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technology for documentation and communication. \n

- Experience working in a school setting or with children and adolescents. \n
- Familiarity with digital communication tools and platforms used in remote service delivery. \n
- Previous involvement in community outreach initiatives or support programs. \n
