High School Science Teacher

The teacher would integrate Biblical principles and the Christian philosophy of education throughout the curriculum and use valid teaching techniques to achieve curriculum goals and promote student learning. The teacher should be passionate about teaching and helping students grow academically, emotionally, and spiritually. Qualifications: Requirements: Bachelor's degree in science, education, or related field. Preferred experience working with children in a school setting. State or ACSI certification or eligibility to obtain certification (can be obtained after hire). Strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills. Be a born-again Christian who is exemplary in his/her Christian walk.Expectations: Above all, the teacher would be expected to set an example of the importance of prayer, Bible study, witnessing, and unity in Christian fellowship as well as a model of a consistent daily walk with Jesus Christ in speech, actions, and attitudes. Demonstrate deep knowledge and command of subject matter. Plan a program of study that, as much as possible, meets the individual needs,interests, and abilities of the students, challenging each to do his or her best work. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and co-workers. Adapt lessons and curriculum to accommodate students of different academic and learning needs. Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide the best education possible for our students. Prepare and submit weekly lesson plans for the administrator’s review. Assess the learning of students on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required. Cooperate with the administration in implementing all policies, procedures, and directives governing the operation of the school. Accept a share of responsibility for extracurricular activities as assigned.
