First Financial Bank has an immediate opening for a BSA Specialist (Bank Secrecy Act) at the Corporate Office located in El Dorado, Arkansas.

The primary responsibility of this position is to monitor all BSA processing as outlined in FFB's policy and procedures. This position is responsible for performing a variety of fraud detection related activities in support Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations designed to prevent financial-related crimes. Responsibilities include review and monitoring of account activity in order to identify unusual activity; review and creation of Currency Transaction Reports, review of OFAC reports for suspected matches; due diligence reviews of existing and potential new high-risk customers, research and analysis. Report Suspicious Activity to the BSA Officer. Review and monitor Red Flags in regard to identity thief and if needed report as a SAR.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two to four years accounting or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior teller and/or account opening experience preferred.

COMPLEXITY: Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Process FinCEN 104 (CTR) forms received daily by the branches or multiple transactions identified on system reports, within the policy timeline along with accuracy. Work with the AML software preparing reports as needed or when requested by the BSA Officer. Perform required reviews on system reports/logs. Review new business accounts to insure all documents are received and identify any MSB's. Review and validate risk ratings for all new personal or business accounts using the AML System risk rating module. Identify any high risk accounts from information received from other sources such as branches, loans and operations staff, legal service of process, Suspicious Activity Referral Forms, and media reports. Perform ongoing review for potential exempt customer and annual review of existing exempt customers, reporting to the BSA Officer for final approval. Perform review of the Bank's CIF and other lists for compliance with FinCEN314a requests and OFAC SDN List. Receive and process all Red Flags and if necessary report as SAR's, also tracking for annual report to the Board. Perform ongoing monitoring, as required, of all high risk and medium risk accounts in accordance with the established monitoring schedule. Will be required to travel for training. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.
