Supervisory Budget Analyst

Summary Office of Facilities and Asset Management (OFAM), Budget Division, Formulation and Analysis Branch – Branch Chief (GS‑14). Locations: Indianapolis, IN or Washington, DC. Closing date: 10 June 2026. Duties Lead a team in budget formulation, program planning, and budget execution for the OFAM Budget Division. Analyze and advise on the financial impacts of legislation, policies, executive orders, and directive changes. Prepare research findings and written responses to budget-related taskers. Serve as the primary advisor to OFAM management on budgeting and financial management matters. Review and recommend formulation actions to ensure effective use of available resources. Coordinate financial reporting, funding execution, strategic sourcing opportunities, and carryover/spend‑down plans. Review the Resource Allocation Plan, Office of Management and Budget documents, and the President’s budget for budgetary implications. Requirements U.S. citizen. Male applicants born after 31 December 1959 must be registered with Selective Service. Primary U.S. residency for at least three of the last five years. Background investigation required. Eligibility for drug testing under the DHS Drug‑Free Workplace Plan. Adherence to federal ethics rules and conflict‑of‑interest statutes. Not covered by a bargaining unit. Qualifications GS‑14 level experience: 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade, performing duties such as research, analysis, and recommendation of finance‑related solutions. Experience in budget formulation and justification for a major program/component. Developed procedures for budgetary allocations, controls, and appropriation language changes. Prepared impact analyses for legislation, policies, and program requirements. Provided guidance on financial management, budgeting, accounting issues, and financial systems.
