Director, US State Policy - Johnson & Johnson Services Inc

Johnson & Johnson seeks a Director of US State Policy to develop and execute pharmaceutical and medical device policy advocacy initiatives across state-level issues. The role involves analyzing legislation, managing stakeholder relationships, and providing subject matter expertise on healthcare costs, coverage, and reimbursement policies.

Responsibilities

• Track, analyze, and develop strategy on state legislation in assigned policy areas
• Partner with J&J stakeholders on policy implementation of enacted state changes
• Lead trade association engagement and coordinate submission of written comments and testimony
• Build and leverage relationships with external stakeholders to advance J&J policy priorities
• Serve as subject matter expert and thought leader in assigned healthcare policy areas

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's in health policy or related field strongly preferred
• Minimum 10 years of related professional experience in health policy
• Thorough knowledge of U.S. regulatory and legislative policy development processes
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex healthcare regulations and prepare policy comments
• High-level strategic and analytical thinking capabilities
• Strong internal and external leadership skills with ability to work independently
• Excellent written, oral communication and persuasive presentation skills
