Patient Transporter

Transports all patient populations to and from examinations and treatments. Performs general errands and other routine duties including cleaning equipment, securing supplies, and other tasks as required. Acts as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care. Adheres to unit procedures wherever transport services rendered. Essential Functions. Practicing safe lifting and techniques, transports patients by assisting patients in and out of cars, lifting patients on and off beds, moving patients to and from special services and treatment areas using wheelchairs, gurneys, or moveable beds. Prepares patient for transport and performs passive and active identification to ensure all patients are properly identified before transporting. Transports all patients and equipment to and from testing and procedure areas including inpatient, outpatient, emergency and high risk Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
