We are a full line steel service center with product line distribution, flame, plasma, and laser processing, welding, forming, rolling, and reinforcing steel capabilities.Job Type: Full Time, Onsite Shift: Graveyard Shift Wage: $21.00 to $25.00Purpose of This Position: Performs tasks associated with the shipping of materialsMajor Duties:Schedules Company trucksCoordinates in-bound carrier schedulesCommunicates truck arrival, order preparation, etc. with Warehouse personnelPrepares bill of ladingsHandles secondary dispatch of driversCommunicates schedule and order issues to Sales departmentResponsible for data entry associated with shipments including order closing, dispatch, etc.Prepares outbound material loadsCoordinates with Operations staff to optimize shipping and inter-department efficienciesAssists in training staff as neededTakes active role in various department and inter-department projects including but not limited to process improvement, etc.Minimum Qualifications/Experience:High school diploma or GED required.Reliable, on time be ready to work daily.Must have an eye for detail and be able to multi-task without hesitation.Minimum of 2 years in shipping department or related applicable experience.Must be proficient with personal computers, word processing, spreadsheets, database, e-mail, and other related software.Previous customer service experience and knowledge of Lean and Kaizen principles preferred.Join a growing, dynamic company with operations across the western US!
