OVERVIEW: The store Tradesman/Craftsman performs a wide variety of repair and maintenance tasks. These can include things like minor mechanical, construction and fixes, painting, small remodels and construction projects, appliance repairs, and building maintenance.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: THE HANDY MAN WILL/IS:

• ? Provide courteous and pleasant service and perform tasks in accordance with Kleinfeld Bridal Customer Service Standards
• ? Be courteous and pleasant with customers, coworkers and supervisors
• ? Complete store build outs ? Build furniture and fixtures
• ? Perform basic tasks including mechanical and constructions repairs
• ? Performs repairs on company machinery and equipment
• ? Detect and report the need for major maintenance repairs
• ? Respond to associate and supervisors maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
• ? Maintain the cleanliness of workspace
• ? Troubleshoot issues and propose solutions
• ? Accurately assess the time and materials needed to complete tasks
• ? Provide a cost estimate of all repairs and maintenance to supervisor prior to completing tasks
• ? Follow a routine maintenance program on machinery and facilities to keep everything in good working order and avoid unnecessary breakdowns
• ? Assist with store visual creation and set up
• ? Assist with special events set up and breakdown

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Education:
? High School diploma or equivalent
? 3-5 years handyman/maintenance experience
Communication:
? Able to communicate and read/write instructions
? Excellent customer service skills
Leadership:
? Able to demonstrate problem resolution skills
? Can work independently without constant supervision
? Able to work effectively with all functions across the company, with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with staff at all levels of the organization,
? Demonstrates ability to work flex style and work with a variety of groups including trades, creative, executives and hourly work force.
Organizational Skills:
? Excellent organizational skills
? Ability to keep sales floor and common areas safe, clean and organized
? Demonstrate the highest level of ethics and integrity
REQUIRED SKILLS:
? Ability to work with hardware tools and power equipment
? Good physical stamina and manual dexterity
? Detail orientated
