Business Analyst

Role Purpose
The Business Analyst will be responsible for gathering, documenting, and analyzing business and technical requirements for the Public Health Data Portal Expansion project. This role ensures that stakeholder needs are clearly translated into system requirements and that the final solution aligns with ADHS operational and reporting needs.
This role supports requirements documentation, system functionality design, and validation of delivered features.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering and Analysis

• Conduct stakeholder interviews and requirements workshops.
• Analyze business processes and translate them into system requirements.
• Document functional and non-functional requirements.

Documentation and User Stories

• Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, and system specifications.
• Maintain and prioritize the product backlog.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Serve as liaison between ADHS stakeholders and the development team.
• Clarify requirements and business rules during development cycles.

Testing and Validation Support

• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Validate that implemented features align with business requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience performing business or systems analysis for technology projects.
• Experience documenting functional requirements and system specifications.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting data analytics platforms or web applications.
• Experience working with government agencies or public health organizations.
• Certification such as CBAP or PMI-PBA.
