Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) with weekend coverage required every other weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a night shift assignment in an acute care hospital located beachside. The ideal candidate will have experience in emergency medicine, trauma, and critical care nursing.

Responsibilities

• Manage and provide care for a diverse patient population including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.
• Perform assessments, administer medications, and monitor patients for health changes.
• Utilize advanced skills in emergency scenarios, including intubation and conscious sedation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.
• Float to similar units as required to meet staffing needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Current California state RN license.
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required.
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Epic charting system is a must.
