School Nurse Substitute – Star Valley SchoolsLincoln County School District #2Qualifications: Candidates must hold a current license to practice as a registered nurse (RN) in Wyoming.Job Description: Experience as a school nurse or experience as a nurse in a health care setting. Experience working with children and adolescents is desired. The successful candidate will be able to accurately assess and manage acute illnesses and injuries; demonstrate effective human relations and communication skills; and exhibit the ability to maintain confidentiality, interact well with students in grades K-12, and work effectively in a fast-paced setting. Collaborate positively with administration, staff, parents, and students.Scope of Job: To act under the general direction of the building principal. To perform those duties required by school nurses to meet specific requirements as listed in state statutes and local school district policy related to the overall health care of students in the school system and other duties as assigned.This job reports to building level administration. In accordance with policy GBEC and procedure GBEC-R all new employees must submit to a pre-employment drug and alcohol test. Employee must consent to and provide the necessary documentation (fingerprinting, etc.) to allow for a criminal background check.
