Spanish Tutor

Role Overview

Deliver recorded, one-on-one Spanish lessons that create natural, high-quality language-learning conversations for native English-speaking learners across a range of proficiency levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead engaging individual Spanish tutoring sessions.
• Tailor lessons to each learner''s proficiency level and assigned topics.
• Encourage substantive, natural back-and-forth conversation.
• Follow the provided lesson structure and project instructions.
• Keep sessions focused, avoiding prolonged silence and off-topic discussion.

Qualifications

• Fluent Spanish speaker with strong verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor''s degree or higher.
• At least three years of Spanish teaching or tutoring experience.
• Experience teaching native English speakers at different proficiency levels.
• Ability to adapt lesson structure and communication style for individual learners.
• Reliable availability and a strong record of punctuality.
• Comfort participating in recorded online sessions.

Work Terms

• Remote, hourly engagement with scheduled one-on-one sessions.
• Sessions must last at least 20 minutes and generally run 20 to 30 minutes.
• Approximately seven hours per week for an approximately three-week project.

Compensation

$60 to $65 per hour.

Eligibility

Spanish tutors from diverse Spanish-speaking backgrounds, including Spain, Mexico, and other regions, are encouraged to apply.
