ETL DeveloperDuties:Responsible for the design, development, and implementation of ETL processesAnalyze data coming from different sources for data integrityCoordinate with front-end developers on data model and requirementsInvolved or own performance tuning at various intervals of the development processUpdate/modify SQL queries or scriptInvestigate issues, propose and implement solutionsPrepare documentation for referenceDevelop SME with ScalaMigrate Scala jobs into AWSTroubleshoot and performance tune Scala jobsRequirements:4-6 years of SQL/Hive experienceBASH coding experienceKnowledge of cloud computing and related technologies - AWS cloud experience a plus, but not required (Cloudwatch, Lambda, EMR, Athena)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsScala knowledge and experienceHigh attention to detailsKnowledge of BI reporting and dashboarding tools such as: Cognos, Tableau or like toolsMust be able to coach and mentor junior members on the teamExperience interfacing with multiple technology domain partners, including offshore vendor teams and internal groupsRequired Skills: ETL processes SQL expertise AWS and/or ScalaBasic Qualification: ETL development, Data Engineering, Database DevelopmentAdditional Skills: ETL development, Data Engineering, Database DevelopmentLong term contract for a large telecommunications organizationBackground Check: YesNotes: My former consultant is hiring for this opening and is working closely with Apex Systems for this requirement.
