They will also load, unload, transport and store the goods using a forklift, overhead crane, pallet truck or hand truck.Roles and ResponsibilitiesSafely carry out and transport components and materials to the various required departments using a forklift (6,500 lb propane), an overhead crane, a pallet jack, or a hand truck.Inspect the components & materials received using the plans, BOM, MOC, receipt slip and other relevant documentsIdentify the components & materials receivedKeep the Reception area safe and clean (cutting and dismantling wooden pallets, preparation for recycling, etc.)Attach slings, hooks, or other devices to lift and handle equipment and materialsBundle, wrap or band material for shipmentCommunicate with supply and quality any non-compliant delivery and participate in the development of the non-compliance report (quarantine area)Maintain equipment storage areas to ensure accurate inventoryParticipate to inventory/material countsParticipate when required in the loading of unitsOther responsibilities as assignedQualificationsEducation: High School DiplomaExperience: Three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experienceComputer Skills: ERP system and Microsoft office experience (an asset)Certificates & Licenses: Forklift license required and overhead crane license (an asset)Strong sense of time, organization, and urgencyAble to work independently and within a teamPerform work with precision and thoroughnessWork at a steady pace and produce quality workFind a solution or proactively deal with work-related issuesVersatile, autonomous, and responsibleContinuously develop knowledge and skillsShare expertise with othersProficiency in English communication, both oral and written.Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.We are an equal opportunity employer, and all applicants will be considered for employment without attention to their membership in any protected class.
