This is a hands‑on engineering role suited for security professionals who enjoy building, operating, and improving security controls while partnering closely with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams. You’ll play a key role in strengthening our network security posture as we continue to modernize using cloud‑native technologies, Zero Trust principles, and automation‑driven practices. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:Network & Cloud Security EngineeringDesign, deploy, and maintain network security solutions across enterprise, cloud, and hybrid environmentsEngineer and support:Next‑generation firewalls and network segmentationSecure connectivity solutions (site‑to‑site and remote access)Network access control, secure DNS, and traffic inspectionImplement and support security controls aligned with Zero Trust and least‑privilege access modelsMonitoring, Detection & Incident ResponseMonitor network security platforms for threats, vulnerabilities, and anomalous behaviorRespond to security incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actionsReview logs and telemetry data to improve visibility and detectionParticipate in a 24x7 on‑call rotation supporting critical incidentsVulnerability & Risk ManagementIdentify, prioritize, and remediate network security vulnerabilitiesImplement compensating controls where full remediation is not immediately possibleParticipate in security design and architecture reviews for new systems and integrationsSupport regulatory and compliance requirements such as PCI‑DSS and data privacy standardsAutomation & Continuous ImprovementLeverage scripting and automation to improve reliability and efficiency of security operationsContribute to Infrastructure‑as‑Code and CI/CD security integrations where appropriateAssist with proof‑of‑concept testing and evaluation of new security tools and technologiesCollaboration & DocumentationPartner with network, cloud, DevOps, and application teams to integrate security into designs and deploymentsProvide guidance on network security best practices and emerging threatsMaintain clear documentation for configurations, standards, and incident response activitiesEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:EDUCATION: Bachelors/4 Yr Degreeor equivalent experienceYEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE: 5+ yearsCERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES: Vendor or vendor‑neutral security certifications such as: PCNSE, CCNP Security, CISSP, GIAC, CEH—or equivalent experienceSPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:Technical SkillsStrong knowledge of:Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, segmentation)Firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and network security monitoring toolsLog analysis, SIEM integration, and security telemetryWorking familiarity with:Cloud networking and security concepts (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Zero Trust architecture conceptsAutomation or scripting (Python, PowerShell, or similar)#LI-JR1This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of the work being performed by the individuals assigned to this job.
