Lil Explorers is currently seeking a reliable and energetic Part-Time Afternoon Teacher to join our team. This position is Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM until closing, with availability to work Saturdays as needed.

Position Summary:
The Part-Time Afternoon Teacher will support classroom operations during afternoon transitions, assist with supervision, and help ensure a smooth and safe closing process each day.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise children during afternoon activities, centers, playground time, and dismissal.
Maintain a safe and nurturing environment at all times.
Assist lead teachers with classroom management and daily routines.
Ensure proper child-to-teacher ratios are maintained.
Help with end-of-day classroom organization and cleaning.
Greet parents professionally during pick-up and provide brief updates as needed.
Follow DCF regulations and center policies.
Support closing procedures to ensure the center is secure at the end of the day.
Be available to work Saturdays if scheduled.

Qualifications:

DCF 45 hours completed
Experience working with young children preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Must meet DCF background screening requirements.
Reliable, punctual, and flexible.
Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
