Contract LTC Charge Nurse (RN or LPN)

Night Shift Nurse In Long-Term Care

This 13-week contract role places a licensed RN or LPN in a long-term care setting in New Ulm, Minnesota to provide high-quality nursing care during night shifts. Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide high-quality nursing care to residents during night shifts
2. Monitor resident health status, respond to changes, and communicate with team members and physicians
3. Ensure accurate and compliant documentation in line with facility policies and regulatory standards
4. Supervise and support LPNs and nursing assistants to deliver excellent resident care
5. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while adhering to infection control protocols

Qualifications:

• Valid nursing license (RN or LPN) in Minnesota
• CPR certification
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
• At least 1 year of experience in long-term care or a similar setting
• Knowledge of EMR systems
• Ability to work nights from 10 p.m. to 6:45 a.m.
• Physical stamina to lift and move residents
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Skills:

• Prior experience in night shifts
