Branch Supervisor

As a member of the shared branching network, we provide nationwide service at thousands of credit union locations throughout the country. Job Title : Branch Supervisor - Everett Reports to : Branch Manager Status : Non-Exempt Location : Everett, in‑office Primary Function The Branch Supervisor is responsible for the day‑to‑day activities of the credit union branch, ensuring a high level of quality service to members and accuracy in transactions. The role upholds the PICK US culture through exceptional member service during every interaction, handling all member transactions with complete discretion and confidentiality. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Ensure a member‑centric environment where building strong relationships is a fundamental priority. Inspire and motivate team members, offer recognition, and lead by example. Consistently engage in meaningful coaching sessions, both formal and informal. Identify talent, develop team members through training, coaching, and performance assessments. Empower team members, foster their professional growth, and encourage teamwork. Assist the branch manager in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, scheduling, supervising, and evaluating employees. Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner and develop alternative solutions to improve efficiency. Member Experience Oversee the team's consistent delivery of an exceptional member experience. Deliver and lead the team to deliver that experience by uncovering financial needs through meaningful discussion. Provide educated product and service recommendations based on expert knowledge. Offer financial solutions that meet member needs. Follow up to ensure satisfaction. Greet members as they enter the branch. Operational Proficiency Oversee all branch operations, including cash limits, vault and ATM/ITM oversight, negotiable items, debit card issuance, account opening practices, policy compliance, BSA requirements, opening and closing of the office, branch balancing, and online banking navigation. Process teller transactions and open accounts for all account types, including IRAs, and submit and process loan applications. Update member contact information, provide rates, process stop payments, order checks, and give members account information. Provide teller transaction overrides and guidance during complex member interactions, including challenging transactions, large deposits and withdrawals. Business Acumen & Technical Knowledge Have a general understanding of business, estate, and trusts, and advise on how to proceed. Build relationships and strong alliances across the organization. Be flexible and willing to adapt to change, guiding others through change. Quickly learn all functionalities and benefits of the credit union's products and services. Demonstrate proficiency with Mass Bay Credit Union's digital technology offerings. Use mobile devices and applications, including texting, e‑mail, and application management. Use desktop applications such as MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Search the Internet on mobile and desktop to locate information. Eager to embrace new and emerging technologies. Business Development & Growth Management Identify growth opportunities, deepen existing relationships, and increase market share in targeted communities. Collaborate with other departments to uncover needs and make referrals to cross‑sell products such as mortgages, home equities, and consumer loans. Set clear performance expectations, conduct team meetings, share growth results, and celebrate successes. Implement a growth process that includes member needs assessment, solutions offering, onboarding, follow‑up, outbound calling, and recording every member contact in the system. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements include: Education & Experience High‑school diploma or equivalency, plus at least three years of related experience and/or training. Supervisory or management experience preferred. Problem Solving / Decision Making Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner, develops alternative solutions, works well in group problem solving, uses sound judgment, remains composed in challenging situations, is decisive, and holds oneself accountable. Working Conditions Primarily based in the South Boston branch location. Works mostly in an office with desk and chair. May need to stand behind the teller line and office lobby. Travel to other branch locations may be required. Physical Requirements Lift and carry objects up to 25 pounds. Use keyboard, monitor, and standard office equipment.
