Student Lounge Supervisor

This position is accountable for overseeing Gilhooley's Student Lounge by requiring guests to log their visit, monitor activities, and manage the facility. This student employment opportunity supports the development of skills aligned with the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) Career Readiness Competencies. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Monitor access to ensure visitors are authorized through Cougar Card swipe
• Maintain attendance logs for tracking space usage
• Manage equipment check-out for use in the space (pool table supplies, ping pong supplies, board games, etc.)
• Complete basic cleaning duties to sanitize table tops, sweep floors and collect trash
• Assist with facility concerns and report to administrative staff any areas that need attention
• Provide assistance with information regarding programs and events
• Become familiar with the University policies, procedures, and general information to assist with inquiries
• Assists with special projects and assignments within the Division of Student Life
• Performs related duties as assigned

Description of Hours:

• Scheduled up to 10 hours a week between 11:00am and 5:00pm Monday-Friday and 2:00pm-8:00pm Saturday and Sunday. Exceptions to these hours may be made by the Administrative Coordinator or his/her designees.

Qualifications:

MUST BE A STUDENT AT SAINT XAVIER UNIVERSITY

Must be Federal Work Study Eligible

Must Include a Resume and Cover Letter

• Ability to work independently
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
