Location and Schedule Location: Geisinger Wyoming Valley (GWV) Shift: Days (United States of America) Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Worker Type: Regular Exemption Status: No Compensation & Benefits Sign‑on incentive: Up to $15,000 for qualified candidates Full‑time union position (40 hours per week) – 8‑hour shifts Monday through Friday with rotating start times (6:30AM, 7:00AM, or 8:00AM) On‑call rotation: includes weekends and holidays – typically every 7th weekend, 4 weekdays per month, and 1–2 holidays per year with a 30‑minute response time Health, dental, and vision insurance; three medical plan choices with expanded network options Pre‑tax savings plans (FSA & HSA) Company‑paid life, short‑term, and long‑term disability insurance 401(k) with automatic Geisinger contributions Generous PTO that accrues quickly Up to $5,000 in tuition reimbursement per calendar year MyHealth Rewards wellness program with financial incentives Family‑friendly support: adoption/fertility assistance, parental leave, military leave, and Care.com membership Employee Assistance Program (EAP) – mental health, legal guidance, childcare/eldercare referrals, and more Voluntary benefits: accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, identity theft protection, pet insurance, and more Key Responsibilities Assist providers during GI endoscopic procedures (EGD, colonoscopy, EUS, bronchoscopy, ERCP) Administer medications, IV therapy, and conscious sedation Monitor patients during and after procedures Collect and prepare lab specimens Educate patients and families on procedures and recovery Lead and support other clinic nurses and technicians Maintain and inspect medical equipment and supplies Qualifications Active RN license Minimum of 1 year of RN experience Graduate from Specialty Training Program (Required) Experience in pre‑ or post‑procedural care is a plus Basic Life Support Certification from the Default Issuing Body Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania) – RN_State of Pennsylvania Clinical skills; communication, computer literacy, Health Information Systems (HIS), interpersonal communication, teamwork Additional Information NOTE: This position is a full‑time union role with a rotating schedule and on‑call responsibilities. The medical equipment and supplies management, as well as patient monitoring, will be performed in a clinical environment.
