American Portable Air, one of the fastest growing private regional climate control rental companies with 7 branches in Florida and Georgia is offering an excellent opportunity for a career track in the climate control industry. Our climate control products include spot coolers, portable air conditioners, portable heaters, dehumidifiers and air purification products. We are looking for a motivated self-starter who is ambitious to grow a newer branch and servicing those customers with exceptional service. Branch employee will report to the Regional Manager and will be focused on building the branch through profitable revenue generation.

 

Position Responsibilities:

Note: We are looking to fill this job opportunity September 1, 2024.

 

• Delivery, install and picking up of portable cooling and heating products in the Fort Myers, Naples market and surrounding areas. (Primarily Counties of Lee, Collier, Charlotte and Sarasota) 
• Delivery and installation of rental equipment for our customers on a daily basis as needed.
• Cleaning and maintenance of rental equipment once returned from job-sites.
• Transfers of equipment between branches as needed.
• Off season sales calls to specific customer segments. Develops and maintains relationships with prospects and customers primarily in the Commercial market such as Hospitals, Schools, Facility Management, Municipalities, Mechanical Contractors, HVAC Contractors and others
• Serve as the main point of contact for all sales, service, and operational issues including management of local branch, company vehicles, and inventory.
• Directly responsible for job site assessments, application solutions and plans, equipment sizing, biling, inventory, proposal writing, quoting, problem resolution and follow-through.

 

Compensation:

Employee will receive a base salary. based on experience.

After hours delivery compensation. $200 per delivery.

Yearly Revenue Bonus based on Revenue Goals. 5K +

Safe driver bonus of $1250 per year and use of company delivery vehicle while engaging work related business.

 

 

Job Requirements

Education and Requirements: college degree is preferred, although not required.
• Prefer a background in industrial tools, service, equipment, or rental industry.
• Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, competitive and results driven.
• A technical sales professional who is relationship focused not transactional.
• Clean driving record.

 

Other Daily Responsibilities.
• Ability to maneuver equipment on casters and be able to lift up to 100 lbs.
• Experience driving a box truck.
• Managing Install Tech and implementation of deliveries and installations.
• Keeps track of rental equipment (inventory) and coordinates deliveries, pick-ups and service calls with customers.
• Maintains warehouse and office area.
• Operates company vehicle safely and maintains a valid driver's license and excellent driving record free from points.
• Keeps records and maintains company vehicle.
• Maintains and tracks company tools and supplies. (Broken tools should be brought to supervisor for replacement.)
• Communicates professionally with customers, managers, and sales engineers to schedule deliveries, pick-ups and service calls.
• Completes appropriate paperwork for deliveries, pick-ups and service calls.
• Directs customers to sign appropriate paperwork. Keeps track of serial numbers.
• Delivers and installs rented equipment. Trains authorized operator (and/or customer) on safe use of equipment.
• Keeps track of rentals.
• Demonstrates a professional and courteous demeanor to customers.
• Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication.
Takes accurate phone messages and has a clear, professional manner when
speaking with customers.
• Is on call for emergency service and is available for emergency service response calls for after-hours and weekends.
• Successfully troubleshoots and completely understands the operation, function, specifications, capabilities and controls of any piece of rental equipment.
