Project Construction Superintendent
$130k - $160kRISE: A Real Estate Company
Project Superintendent (Multi-Family) Full-Time | Frequent Travel Required | In person / On-Site required Schedule: Monday-Friday, with weekends as required by project demands
Compensation: Competitive and based on experience A successful construction project does not happen because everyone tries their best. It happens because someone takes full ownership of the field. Someone knows the plans, controls the schedule, holds subcontractors accountable, addresses problems before they become delays, and refuses to compromise on safety or quality. We are hiring a Project Superintendent to lead field operations for our construction projects. This position has direct responsibility for the safe, timely, and successful execution of the project-from initial site planning through final turnover. This is not a supporting role. The Project Superintendent is the senior field leader on the jobsite and is expected to run it accordingly. What This Role Really Is The Project Superintendent owns the day-to-day execution of the project in the field. You will lead Assistant Superintendents, Project Engineers, subcontractors, foremen, vendors, and other field personnel while coordinating closely with the Project Manager and the broader project team. You will be responsible for protecting the schedule, maintaining a safe jobsite, enforcing quality standards, managing site logistics, and ensuring the work is completed in accordance with the contract documents. When field problems arise, you will not simply report them. You will identify the issue, develop a solution, communicate the plan, and drive it through completion. What You'll Own
About RISE RISE is a vertically integrated real estate company with development, construction, and property management capabilities under one platform. Because we operate as an owner, developer, and general contractor, our field leaders are not simply completing a set of plans. They are helping deliver projects that must perform through construction, turnover, lease-up, operations, and long-term ownership. That requires Superintendents who think beyond today's activity and understand how field decisions affect the entire project. AI Hiring Process Disclosure We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or screening and assessing responses. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgement. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans. If you would like more information about how your data is processed, please contact us. Pay Range: $130,000 - $160,000 per year

- Are comfortable making decisions and giving clear direction
- Know how to build, maintain, and recover a construction schedule
- Address weak subcontractor performance early
- Can manage difficult conversations without avoiding conflict or creating unnecessary drama
- Understand how field decisions affect cost, schedule, quality, and long-term project performance
- Spend time walking the work and verifying progress rather than managing exclusively from the trailer
- Communicate clearly with both field personnel and senior leadership
- Stay organized and composed when the project is under pressure
- Waits for the Project Manager to solve field problems
- Avoids holding subcontractors accountable
- Treats the schedule as an administrative document instead of a daily management tool
- Accepts poor workmanship because it can be added to a punch list later
- Manages primarily through emails, phone calls, or meetings without consistently walking the project
- Hides problems until they become emergencies
- Wants the Superintendent title without full accountability for the jobsite
- Approximately ten years of construction-related experience
- At least three years of experience working as a Superintendent
- Four-year degree in construction management, civil engineering, architectural engineering, or a related field preferred
- Equivalent construction experience may be considered in place of a degree
- Demonstrated experience managing site activities, subcontractors, scheduling, safety, quality, and field coordination
- Strong working knowledge of construction plans, specifications, contracts, submittals, shop drawings, and change documentation
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Procore
- Familiarity with CAD or related construction applications
- OSHA 30-hour certification
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications
- Knowledge of applicable OSHA requirements
- Valid state-issued driver's license
- Ability to travel frequently and work weekends when required by project demands
- Ability to inspect active jobsites, including ladders, uneven or cluttered areas, adverse weather conditions, low-light areas, and other typical construction environments
