Pharmacist

Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is seeking a Staff Pharmacist for our client in Burr Ridge, IL . This is an excellent opportunity for an Illinois-licensed pharmacist looking to join a collaborative long-term care pharmacy with the potential for permanent employment.

Staff Pharmacist – Contract-to-Hire

Location: Burr Ridge, IL

Pay: Up to $ 59.21/hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday with rotating weekends as scheduled

Shift: Primarily 5:30 PM – 2:00 AM

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

Responsibilities

• Verify prescriptions for accuracy and clinical appropriateness.

• Review medication orders for drug interactions, allergies, and dosing accuracy.

• Work alongside pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to meet daily medication release deadlines.

• Respond to phone calls, emails, billing inquiries, and data entry requests.

• Oversee workflow, production, and pharmacy operations to ensure timely dispensing.

• Supervise pharmacy staff and maintain compliance with state, federal, DEA, and HIPAA regulations.

• Prepare and/or supervise sterile IV medication preparation.

• Manage controlled substance inventory and documentation.

• Ensure proper medication disposal in accordance with applicable regulations.

• Maintain workflow dashboards and support operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy.

• Active Illinois Pharmacist License in good standing.

• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacist experience .

• Strong clinical knowledge, including drug interactions, allergies, and disease state management.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced long-term care pharmacy environment.
