Bookkeeper

The Bookkeeper is responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring the company's books are up to date. This role supports accounting activities such as accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record daily financial transactions and maintain the general ledger
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing and collections
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and vendor statements
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports
  • Assist with payroll processing and maintain employee expense records
  • Maintain organized financial files and documentation
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Coordinate with external accountants for tax preparation or audits
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer competence
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently
