Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced CVOR RN for a Level 1 trauma main OR with required cardiac/vascular surgery experience and MA RN licensure.

Details

• Work in the Main Operating Room of a Level 1 trauma center hospital
• Main OR has 24 total ORs, with 5 dedicated to Cardiac and Vascular surgery
• Facility also includes 2-4 ORs for Total Joints, 2 for Ortho Trauma, 3-5 for Neuro/Spine, 3 for Robotic surgery, and additional ORs for Trauma, General, GYN, and Plastics
• Covers Transplant and organ recovery cases
• Main OR operates 24/7 with two overnight teams and a third team on call
• Schedule consists of 3x12-hour AM shifts totaling 36 hours per week
• Float requirement to Chestnut ambulatory surgery location
• On-call requirement of 4 shifts per month with a 30-minute response time
• Weekend requirement of one weekend per month with possible holiday coverage
• Weekend staffing includes 4 teams on Saturday with a 5th on call, and 3 teams on Sunday with a 4th on call
• Each surgical case requires both an RN and a Scrub Tech/Nurse

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Level 1 trauma center OR experience required
• Cardiac surgery (CVOR) experience required

Additional Information

• Provide perioperative nursing care in a high-acuity cardiac and vascular surgery environment
• Work alongside dedicated surgical teams supporting a wide range of specialties including cardiac, ortho, neuro, robotics, and transplant surgery
• Be prepared to respond quickly to on-call cases within 30 minutes
